it was a big game for them, they had a lot of things go right. i don't think Atlanta realized the significance of this game and they never matched new Orleans intensity. i was happy for the saints, maybe they can make a run for the playoffs. the city really needs an economic boost.

Absolutely. Beyond the sport New Orleans reopens one significant venue and proved that it can handle big events. Conventions, concerts, festivals, cruise ships should follow. This is what New Orleans is selling. After yesterday's game Nola reintroduced itself as a fun destination.

how can you win against those emotions they should have won .the falcons just couldn't know how big this game was for them the fans .i have to give it up for the saints team .it would have been very bad if they lost that game last night after all that hype .but will the saint be there in few years from now or will they be in San Antonio year 2010 . but it's just one game and we will see the saint in the alt.

So the fu*ck what ya'll still aint going to playoffs, but I was wondering when the Aint's went to the playoffs, and plus ya'll had tha goddamn ref's on your side' the ref's only made 2 or 3 calls against the Aint's, but the Falcons had an as*sload of calls against them that were unjust, but the Aint's got away with a lot last night,oh yeah one more thing it's one division win which means Atlanta is still leading the division cause we have 2 division wins,ya'll only have one division win, last night was a fluke it won't happen again

The Saints had God on their side. There is no way on Earth they could've lost that game! I'm sure the Falcons got paid to throw it a bit, the refs too, heck, probably the coach as well. But lets face it, paid or not, if the Falcons would've won, they've never left the dome without some 'fatal' complications.

I think the score speaks for itself; you can tell the team wanted to play at home, since not being able to do so since Katrina. I am sure that their fans were pleased, but it's a long time until the December playoffs. Good luck!

Their big opening game after the hurricane. Something tells me the other team was "encouraged" to throw the game.
