I cook 4 night s a week my wife cooks the other 3. We almost never go out. Kind of expensive to order out with 4 kids.
If you are too busy to cook take a look at Dinner by Design. You can go and make a dozen meals to take home and it take just a couple hours. Better than carry out and better for you too.
We do this every few months so we have meals in the freezer if we don't have time to cook. Costs a couple hundred buck to prepare 12 meals that would feed 4 adults.

We have home cooked meals every night unless we decide to treat ourselves to a takeaway, which isn't very often. My husband does most of the cooking because I am a vegetarian and will not cook his meat. He doesn't mind as he loves to cook. He really enjoys the veggie "specials" that I cook maybe three times a week.

I work till 7:30 p.m. and I can't cook every night but since I work in a kitchen, I can take stuff home for dinner. (Shhhhhhh... Don't tell my boss because we're really not supposed to take it home)
Most of my own cooking is done on my days off and every other weekend.

I cook every day. I'd rather have a home cooked meal than eat out.

I cook mostly every nite. It's easier if you take one of your afternoons off and cook a bunch and then you just have to reheat during the week. Good luck!
