my sound device is givin a wierd problem?

well the windows souns are comin thst is the stratup and the exit but sond are not playing and it says some other application mit be using th device ca any1 help plzzzzzzzzzzz

Try shutting down applications you have running and keep testing the sound each time you do. When the sounds start working again, the last program you shut down is causing the problem.
