Like Yoi said, you cannot know exactly if someone did a search on you.
But, some sites keep their searches cached so if you search yahoo or google with your name and you appear on one of the results then is for sure that someone did make a search on your name at least.

No, you can't. Unless you constantly monitor what each search engine receives a search for.
