I gave birth on august 11 (6 weeks and 4 days ago) and my lochia had stopped already sometime last week. i had unprotected sex about a week to a week and a half ago, but three days ago i had brown blood come out and yesterday i had light pink blood...only when i wiped...could this be my period or is this implantation bleeding. i have my six week check up tomorrow and i'm terrified what the doctor will say. if i take a home pregnancy test will it come up positive anyways because i still have pregnancy hormones in me?

here's the bottom line....you are able to conceive at this point after your pregnancy so there is a chance you could be pregnant. you will definitely need to tell your dr that you had unprotected since you had the baby. they will be able to do a test there which will be by far more reliable than any home test you do. in the meantime take precautions...i know it sometimes ruins the mood a bit...but you know exactly what getting pregnant entails....you really don't want to have another one this soon....you would have two in diapers....imagine....good luck and i am sure all of your questions will be answered by your dr appt tomorrow.
and by the way congratulations on your 6 week old.

Your system is still going through some stuff. My bleeding had stopped couple days after giving birth and started up again 2 weeks later. Then when my period came it lasted for 12 days. I wouldn't worry too much but I do need to ask WHY WHY WHY are you having unprotected sex????? Any dr will tell you you DON'T want to risk getting pregnant again that soon even if you plan on having other children ! Good luck to you !

Many times the lochia comes back and there is some blood in it, especially after 6 weeks and after sex. Mine lasted almost 9 weeks, and would come and go depending on my physical activity.
Don't worry...if you are pregnant, you will deal with it. If you don't want to be pregnant, stop having unprotected sex in the future. You will do fine :)

It could be your period. Sometimes it takes your body a while to readust. That being said - use protection if don't want to become pregnant again so soon. Be honest with your doctor tomorrow - they always ask at your 6 week check up, if you've had sex. It's normal to bleed a little like that but discuss it with your doctor just in case you are pregnant again.

Your test should not come up positive unless you really are pregnant. I have never heard of a test saying you are when your not. I would definitely talk to the doctor about this, because all of us can only give an option not an actual answer. Good luck!

it could simply b cuz u had an orgasm if u did. membr orgasm contracts ur uterus. the preganancy thing iz early but theres a possibility u could get a positive read out, if not jus ask ur dr. trust me he/she has heard it all. im only 11 months apart n age from my brother so my mama was gettin it on b4 her 6 wks were up 2. that i know of hcg hormones r not n ur body after the baby is born and that iz the hormone that tells ur body and a pregnancy test ur pregnant.

It could just be last trickles of lochia....I had this happen a few times, normally when I'd over-done things.
However, there is a slim chance that you could be pregnant so ask you doctor, they aren't there to judge you.

You are soooo fertile after just having a baby, your body is still equipt to carry a baby, My grandma was pregnant everytime she went to the doctor for her 6 week checkup after having a baby ( my mom has 4 sisters that are a year apart)!! i hope your not pregnant at your checkup!!

You might be pregnant. The only way you will know is if you miss your period and if you do take a home pregnancy test.

The brown blood is old blood. Hmmm are you breast or bottle feeding? If breast feeding the odds are low your pg.
You can ovulate soon but I would explain your situation to your Doctor and have hiim/her order a blood test to make sure.
