It could mean that subconsciously you think you are spiritually inferior and therefore are not worthy to be standing in front of a crowd of supposedly religious/spiritual people, much worse reading scripture to them.
A lot of people feel that way, including me, I guess. We look at other people's spiritual journey and compare it with ours. I think we all try to imitate religious behavior we see around us (usually without our knowledge). And when we successfully do, we earn the title "spiritual/religious".
Our spiritual journey is like a race. But as the song goes, "Run your own race when everyone is way ahead. Set your own pace, run it like a thoroughbred. Though you're slow now, you're still a breed apart when the Spirit is running in your heart." =)
Anyway, don't feel bad about it. The dream I mean.
God bless!

You mispelled "struggling." The dream sounds to me like you may have become sensitive to the fact that the information presented to you in church and Scripture is illogical and devoid of correct definitions, and this information is conflicting with your basic needs for belonging and understanding. I recommend research into scripture and stories from all around the world, all the religions. Study history, the Baqua, the stories of young Krisna and Yeswah, yoga, Tai Chi. Develop your understanding of self and you will move past crying.

What that dream says to me is that you may not be comfortable with your place of worship, or your current denomination. It may not truly make sense to you in your heart. That is why you could not read the scripture in your dream.
IF that is the case, you should consider finding a church in which you are more comfortable, and where the teachings make sense to you and touch your heart.
Just my opinion.

You feel you must understand the Bible and don't believe you do. Trust me when I say you don't. It takes many years of study and research. Go with your gut and guess what, you're probably right! The Bible was written of people for people by people. When it comes to the soul, we all speak the same language.
