Akhmenajad does not see himself as the Messiah, he is strying to set events into motion that will bring the Islamic messiah through global war on the "Infidels." Beyond that point, I agree with you.

The Iranians think the Messiah is going to come out of a well in Iran. They even write notes and drop them into the well. Children use flashlights to peer into the darkness in hopes of seeing him.
Do you think these people are capable of handling nuclear technology with care? Scary, huh?
