I doesn't really matter what kind of job it is, the idea (at least for the first few days of any job) is to look professional. Try a sleeveless button down top and some slacks. Especially since you won't be working the floor today, you're going to be interacting with the managers and whoever else will be there while you fill out your paperwork.

You never know who you'll run in to. business casual is always a good idea.

If it is hot why not go for....
+ A feminine skirt that hits at the middle or bottom of the kneecap, no miniskirts, no really long skirts
+ A nice top that compliments your shape and looks but still is covered up
+ A nice pair of heels, I prefer kitten heals, (If you are going to be doing a lot of walking I would recommend a nice flat, I prefer ballet flats)

Do not wear jeans as another person recommended (no offense). Too casual. When you start working there you can wear nice dark wash straight leg jeans but not to a job orientation/interview!

Go with a full pants leg this time and progress your way into capris. You still are making an impression and you don't wanna ruin it by walking in with a dress code violation before you get the handbook

The Capri's and top will be fine, however, wear closed toe shoes. That is always a MUST. You should never wear attire that isn't acceptable to be worn whilst doing your job.

You should always dress nicer for the interview than you'd actually wear on the job. It shows your potential employer that you respect the company and you're serious about wanting the job.

I heard a quote that stated -

Dress for the job you want and not the one you have.

Weather it is right or wrong if you always look professional and appropriate you will get farther a head.

Don't go to a job interview with open toe/heel shoes. I just read that in the sunday paper.

No matter what the job, dress professionally.

I think that sound cute, and if I was to walk into a store and see you I wouldn't think anything of it.
