I beleive the lust for power and greed was more of an inspiration.
Of course we can expect more dirty tricks. To the right, the ends justify the means. Like Clinton said the other night on Fox, every 2 years the Neocons develope a scare tactic to fool the American people into thinking that the Right is better equiped to fight the war on terror.
In reality, according to the recent 16 spy agency findings... The US is more at risk now than it ever has been, mostly due to the war in Iraq generating more terrorists rather than quelling them.

I guess you missed all the Democrats' antics in the 2004 elections, when they pulled such mature stunts as slashing tires on cars of Republican officials and voters so they'd be unable to get to the polls . . .
and yet Bush STILL got re-elected. Tsk-tsk.
