People have always done nice things for me and my family. But there is one that I'll always think is the nicest. A few years ago I was in a car accident and I broke my ankle in pieces, I had to have metals and screws put in my ankle. Anyway its been 15 yrs that its happen and sometimes my ankle get very swollen to the point where I can't walk, well some ladies from my church found out what happen to me so they all decided to bring me and my family dinner for 2 weeks. they took turns. They did this so that I can heal and wouldn't be on my feet so much. With 5 kids it was hard for me to just sit around. So I think thats the nicest thing someone could ever do for some one else.

While my husband has often done nice things like surprising me on Sweetest Day (a holiday he considers made up by the greeting card companies) with a gold Detroit Red Wings pendant and buying ne a new Ford Fusion last spring after saying we'd have to make do with my older car for several more years,I think the best things have come from my grown kids. My son worked hard and actually got that high school diploma and he said he did it not only for himslef but for me. He also once totally surprised me on my birthday (usually he gets lottery tickets) with the first six seasons of "Friends". My daughter has taken me to several concerts that I wouldn't have done on my own. My oldest granddaughter gave me a calendar she made at school. My son in law once stood outside in a line in the snow to get a Hallmark ornament of Gordie Howe autographed. The list goes on.

Just yesterday a former friend of the neighborhood sent me a box, of sugar free candy, somebody wash, a novel, bubble bath, and a bunch of little things, it was a get-well box while I am on the mend from knee surgery. I thought that was so sweet.
