I still love the 70's and 80's music, and my son at 17 is into it.

I absolutely love the 70s and 80s. The music in those times rocked and was full of fun and passion. Today's music lacks that. God, I hate any cover version of any 70s and 80s song - it just doesn't sound right. So damn unoriginal!

The best part about the 70's and 80's is you can catch many of the bands touring still and playing in small clubs these days.
I just saw Dave Wakeling of English Beat and General Public.
A live show doesn't get any better than this guy !

I appreciate the music from the 70s and the 80s, so many groups or singers today dont even actually play instruments its all done electronically. Give me the good stuff thank you.

Well if this is what you grew up listening to you would like it. In 40 years someone will be here saying the same thing about music in 2006. It's all a matter of what you personally like, everyone is different.

You mean when music was original, and bands did not have to copy from each other. When people wrote about things that mattered to them???? I hear ya. When Paris Hilton can be heard on the radio it's a sad sad day for music.
