Maria Sharapova for three reasons:
1) She is pretty, or at least 'she feels preety'. Ms. Tennis 2006 should be beautiful, don't you agree? Plus, she is feminine unlike many other female players of the court that rassemble teenage boys.
2) Even though she's preety, she knows how to play tennis. She likes fashion but tennis is her top priority, as she had declared. She has also won the 2006 US Open, by the way...
3) She is smart, and takes the right decisions for her career and promotes herself.

I would vote for Justine Henin of Belgium. She has had a really good year.
She reached the final of the Australian open but had to retire due to illness. Mauresmo won as a result.
She won the French open by beating Kuznetsova.
She also reached the final of Wimbledon but lost to Mauresmo.
She also reached the final of the US open but lost to Sharapova.
So that means that she made it to the final of all 4 grand slams this year.
She is currently the No 2 female ranked player in the world.

I'd say Maria Sharapova or Justine Henin Hardenne. Maria just won US Open with a great match and struggle to the final. Henin just amazing. She won the French Open and was the finalist of Australian Open,Wimbeldon and US Open.

I'd say Maria Sharapova. She was such a revelation at the US Open. Played great tennis and has alreday two major championships at just 19. I think Henin and Clijsters has just reached their first slam final at that age.

i think it would be maria sharapova although she is taller than me! she has those looks and she plays superb. she has also won many grand slams and also is famous in the world of glamour. i would vote her surely.
