It started with House of the rising sun and used When the Saints go marching in as a sort of chorus.
My wife heard some of it on the Mark and Brian show and desperately wants to know. Many Thanks. Kevin

Thanks for all your answers. I have just found out that U2 and Green Day are going to record "The Saints Are Coming". All the proceeds will go to the foundation that stuckinamoment mentioned. SO that has to be good news.

"The Saints are Coming" a remake of a song by a group called The Skids.

Didn't they rock last night?? I loved it. :-)

Hey Smitty: Edge is the one who collaborated with the foundation to help N.O. musicians get new instruments. I believe that it why U2 was there at least. And I believe most people would tune in to see U2 and Green Day than a jazz band.

The Saints are Coming' - it's a remake of another song - I think by the skids or something like that. Also they played 'When September Ends' and 'Beautiful Day'.

Oh when the Saints go rollin' over the Falcons!!!!!!!!!

It was whack just like the Super Bowl. There are plenty of famous N. O. musicians that would have done better. In the Super Bowl , they picked Mick when the had so many Motown artists to select from.

I know what time it is: the Stones and Bono/Green Day have the right complexion to have the right connection.
