Is dry eyes a common or rare symptom? I have had fibromyalgia for nearly 5 years now (ok, been diagnosed for 5 years, had it my whole life), but just recently started getting pains in my right eye. My mom, who also has fibromyalgia, says it's dry eye and she gets it too. Anyone else?

I am seeing my eye doctor today.

Back from the doctor. It is partially dry eye and partially stupidity as a child. I have reaccuring cornea abrassions, scratches on my eye that heal and reopen when I get dry eye from a piece of bark that I got lodged in my eye as a kid.

I have fibromyalgia, and I have dry eyes and dry mouth. I thought it was a side-effect of some of my medication, though. Please let us know what your opthalmologist says. Thanks.

Fibromyalgia is in a group of new diseases such as Ch fatigue syndome, Gulf War Syndrome all with vague symptoms all differing. We wish we had a common denominator for these diseases.
