Prof. Charles Xavier, because of both his very high intelligence & extremely powerful telepathy. Others probably would include: Wolverine (adamantium skeleton/rapid healing), Superman (who wouldn't want superstrength, near invulnerability, x-ray & heat vision, flight/superspeed), Batman (intelligence, detective skills/reasoning, resourcefulness, Batcave w/ Batvehicles & all the cool Batgadgets (esp. BatComputer!)) Spider-man (super strength, Spider-sense (who wouldn't want to be able to sense danger coming!?), stick to/walk on walls, webslinging (natural, if mutant ablity in Spider-man movies)). Regarding X-men, I know, personally, about not being able to fit in, especially as a child.

I would be a Green Lantern, The power ring is the most powerful weapon in the know universe and limited only by the users will power and imagination. With the 24 hr rule abolished a Lantern could literally fight for days without recharging.

Professor Charles Francis Xavier intelligent, one the most powerful telepath, helped a lot of mutants. Most powerful mutant in the planet because he helped a lot of mutants even those who became evil probably in his time of real need they would all come in his aid or to avenge his death.
Wolverine healing powers, age supression, enhanced senses, extensive knowledge in all forms of arm and unarmed combat, extensive knowledge in magic at mysticism too. He's tough, brave, almost immortal, helped a lot of X-Men to become well adept heros like Rogue, Shadow Cat, Jubilee. He single handedly once saved both X-Men team from the Hell fire Club when they were captured.
Beast Super Intelligent, and Agile.
Chamber Nuclear Psychic Furnace, Immune to Omega Red's Death Virus.

I would be The Silver Surfer. he is awesome, hundreds of times more powerful than SuperMan. He can manipulate time and matter. Plus he has a cool surf board and surfs the cosmos. What fun that would be.
