Hey Haylee, I agree with points from the last couple of answers. First I would strongly advise you not to get involved - your dad is an adult, your parents have an established relationship - you really don't want to be the reason a marriage that has lasted many (hopefully happy) years falls apart, and in all honesty even if your dad did sometimes look at 'dodgy' stuff on the computer, the computer is not real life. I'm sure many husbands and wives look at slightly odd stuff without ever going any further than looking - it may not 'feel' right to you, and you may not understand or approve, but that's really not your business as long as your dad isn't hurting anyone. Second - those two sites you mention have popped up on my computer many times - I've never searched for them, never used them, never even read the page that pops up - they're just crappy pop-up spam sites. So - in all probability your dad has never even bothered looking at them, let alone searched for them and used them - the internet is full of crappy sex sites that pop up unrequested as some sort of particularly annoying form of marketing, and this is by FAR the most likely explanation for why they're in the history list on your dad's computer. It is good to talk to your parents about most things, but I think this is one of the exceptions. Just forget about it - if you talk to either parent I can't see anything good coming from it.

YES! There is nothing worse than being black mailed. When people are doing something wrong, knowing its wrong is bad enough without having someone, control everything you do by black mailing. Think how you would feel. If the cheating continues without your dad telling your mom, then I would tell her. But just take time, because usually things like that come out in the open. He won't get away with it forever! I'm sure you are feeling kind of overwhelmed and sad about the whole situation, and I'm sorry, but that still doesn't give you the right to control someone....Good Luck!

That's horrible what you are doing, although he does deserve to suffer a little bit.

I think you should tell him to tell your mother or else you will.

He will tell her, because I'm sure he wouldn't want her to hear it from her child.

Just be careful though, he might want to bribe you by saying he will buy you more stuff as long as you dont tell.Dont fall for it.

This is a problem that your family must sort out and it is not fair to your mother. She deserves to know.

You do a reverse blackmail.

You tell him that you will stop with the blackmail if he tells Mom; otherwise you will.

I think you've really hurt the relationship between you and your father. Granted, what he did was wrong and he should have confessed to your mother. But what you did was just as bad and you just added to your father's wrongdoing. It was even more wrong for him to give into your threats... he was buying your silence.

You both need to confess to your mother what happened and what's been going on, and I just hope that all 3 of you can salvage what's left of your family.

Well I think you should tell your mum the truth and stop black mailing him. He probably feels really bad about what he did but black mailing him will make things worse :(

If this is what you're capable of at 13, I'd hate to see what you grow up to be.

Wretched behavior. Like father like son.....
