I don't think you can ever feel the heartbeat. However it can be seen on ultrasound at 6 weeks and it looks like a blinking light. It can be heard by a Doppler at 12 weeks. At 20 weeks it is possible to pick the heartbeat up at home with a stethoscope. Good Luck

It is the most special thing and you can start hearing it from I think (don't quote me) from 8-12 weeks. I started using my fetal monitor around 14 -16 weeks. The best thing is to go for your check up and ask the doctor to indicate where the heart is and then pop the monitor on when you get home. It is awesome!

i am 10 weeks and have been able to feel it for a week or 2 my hubby also has heard it by putting his ear to my tummy you can hear the difference its more of an boom boom boom instead of a thud-thud thud-thud thud-thud
