No, religion is not necessary, just obedience to God's Word and a relationship with Him. You are right. My life changed when I realized that the kingdom of God is inside of me, and kind of what you said, that our "minds are our religion." However I love to fellowship, take communion and have a church family, so I do belong to a church. We're not religious and regimented, though. At least I run from that in a church (I moved recently and had to find a new church in my new town). We are down to earth, real, transparent, loving and love the LORD. Peace.

I'm convinced that God DEFINITELY expects us to read the Bible and to learn for ourselves what His word says and what He wants for our lives -- not to simply take the word of a priest or a pastor as gospel. However, there is a verse in the New Testament (wish I could remember exactly where) that says "Do not forsake the assembly, as some are in the practice of doing" so I also believe that God intended for us to gather with fellow believers for worship and fellowship. It's a problem either way because on one hand if you gather with a group of believers there is always the possibility that their lives and their worship is fraught with man-made traditions that have no Biblical basis, but on the other hand if you don't gather with other believers you disobey that Bible verse and you miss out on opportunities to talk with fellow believers, not to mention the opportunities to be encouraged by others and to help others in need. Tough call...

faith isn't had to position self belief in God, yet, as changed into shown in Noah's day, a connection with the real God is mandatory to have. As said contained in the Genesis account of the flood, only those 8 persons survived the deluge. Why? because they followed the directives of Jehovah "only so" and they preached to the violent international of that aspect to reveal from their incorrect route. regrettably, they did not pay interest to Noah and perished. Even the Israelites were at one time God's chosen human beings. yet regrettably, they too, did not pay interest and follow Jehovah's righteous ideas. In on the on the spot's international, there are various so said as Christian religions, yet are they practise what the criteria of God somewhat are ? look on the wars fought contained in the call of religion. look on the moves of the non secular leaders at the same time as it involves their habit? What one has to do is search for the Bible to work out how God feels about concerns and then search for and search for out a faith, a real faith, it somewhat is following the finished route that God approves. you'll understand them through the affection they instruct and through their moves. they received't be hypocritical. satisfied searching!

You are absolutely right. Religion was just created by people's egos. Just do to others what you would like to be done to you. That includes ALL animals and insects. You don't want to die do you? Neither does an insect or animal.

the Lord Jesus says "My Fathers Kingdom has many mansions" or another translation "My Fathers House has many rooms" both meaning the same thing, there are many ways to G-d. and if following dogma isn't your cup of tea (which isn't my drink) then that mansion is not for you, but please don't forget there are just 10 laws that G-d wants you to follow those of the 10 commandments.
