Ok, let me break it down a little. I am a 15 year old man. I sing, I act, I am about to start ballroom dancing which may lead to more dancing. My question is, do I need a body for people to truely enjoy watching me? I am not horribly fat or skinny. But, if I need to work out to make it and to entertain people, then I will. As a last word, my dream is not to be an entertainer, I am gonna be a psychiatrist.

Couple of celebs to watch to answer your question:

Notorious B.I.G., Christopher Wallace(RIP)

Flavor Flav

Jill Scott

Jamie Lee Curtis(but she has famous parents, so she doesn't count)

That dude that's the front man of Red Hot Chili Peppers...

There's many more I can't think of right now....but the answer is there are alot of people who made it in show biz and didn't exactly have 'the look'...if you're talented and driven, that's all you need...

well i sing and act and im not fat but not skinny and i dont think that you should need the right body but if its dancing that you want to do then you should try to keep fit cause its takes a lot of hard work and flexability

Unfortunately, because of the way society works, if you want to make it mainstream, you probably do need "a body."

But if you're planning on just being more professional, competing in a technical sense then definately not. People who appreciate dance don't care how you look, but how do it.

no you dont..... your passion for dancing or music is what shines though.... however if you want to get in to professional via the way of hollywood... then brother .... get in shape.... and even then its just a stroke of luck who makes it.. being in the right place at the right time.... but as far as your qeustion ,,, yea just let your passion for the art come through.

good luck on medical school.... maybe you have many girls to dance with along the way

if you love to dance and you keep on doing it then you will start to get a dancers body... you will start to see yourself get more toned as you get older.
