Write your own, it isn't that hard. Just make sure everyone has something to do or some goal. I have done this several times and it can be great.
- Make the victim a host who is missing or never appears. Report part of the way through the evening that his/her body has been discovered (outside, in the bath, etc).
- Try to have it in a location with lots places where people can go. It is harder to do secret things in a small appartment. A large house with lots of rooms works best.
- Chooses a 'period', 1930's, 1940's, buy some period music and have everyone come in costume.
- If you can, have a big sitdown dinner. I don't know why, but it works well to have everyone at the same table at some point in the evening.
Example Tasks for players
-Two players are spies who have to make contact to exchange a secret message. They both have 'code phrases' to find their contact. Make the phase something rediculous, "It had a worm in it", "The sky is purple", etc. Also someone there trying to intercept the message, who perhaps only knows some minor detail of the spies (first initial, color of hair, etc).
- Have character plant weapons, or have one character attempting to buy a weapon from another character. A useful way to get the murder weapon passed around between different people.
- Have a love triangle between several of the characters, perhaps throw the victim into the mix as well. Give reasons for character to have loud arguements at various points in the evening.
It can be a lot of work, especially for 25 people. But it is worth it.
