I transferred to them from Schawb lured by their cheap trades etc.

It has been a nightmare. Last night, at 53, I thought I was having a heart attack -- I was so upset with them.

I am now transferring to Fidelity. I am hoping that they are better.

In hindsight Schwab wasn't all that bad. Just expensive. I guess you pay for what you get.

I have written 3 times to their compliance department and twice to the SEC.

Just curious whether others have hda trouble with TD.

Many thanks.

I have accounts with both TDAmeritrade and Fidelity. Never had a problem with either. I do like TD site better. Much less cluttered and better put together. I like Fidelity research facilities much more.

No problems with TD Ameritrade, just my stock picks!
I guess maybe the only thing is sometimes they've split up orders..i.e. I bought 300 shares of xyz and they show up as 3 orders of 100.so it looks like I made 3 separate purchases..but I'm not charged for 3 trades.

Scottrade is cheaper. $7 trades AND the news feature is not xtra$.

I've had Ameritrade and Fidelity. I haven't had a single problem with either. You may get a better answer from us if you explain what, specifically, happened to you. Every trade I asked them to make went well. Every time I call them, they have someone smart answer the phone. Not sure what caused your dissatisfaction.

I had a problem last night, when they switched my cash account to the Money Market. The problem is that the money market won't reconcile correctly with my Microsoft Money, it goes in as shares instead of dollars, making it look like a stock purchase and when I try to change it, it multiplies on itself, making it look like it worth hundreds of thousands of dollars! It would be nice if it were true. The TDAmeritrade help site is no help at all.

You should describe the problem you are having. They are a good company...relatively problem free with great response to individual problems.
