Saddam Hussein had to be eliminated because he was a mass murderer...another Hitler. We didn't go after him to turn Iraq into a democracy after he was eliminated. No way. The democracy angle came after they could not find any weapons of mass destruction which were moved into Syria while we were procrastinating about going into Iraq. They exist and our government knows it. Incidentally, why is the trial of Saddam taking so damn long? He should have been hung by now. Turn him over to the Kurds and watch the action. He killed over 100,000 of them (women and children) without batting an eye.
