go for small and thoughtful....
order lunch early....make it a nice lunch
do something for them they they would really appericate.....wash their car...walk their dog...
just be nice...thats all it takes

you dont always have to go big when you try to make someones day....its the small things, even just a cup of coffee can say i love you...

send flowers or make her closest friend/cousin call her in her most unexpected time - if that someone is a lady.
grab a beer or two after office/school - if he's a guy.
