You Don't . I know from experience that you can't make someone change no matter how much you want them to. You married him knowing who he was and if that was an issue you should have dealt with it before you walked down the isle. That being said I think everyone has some form of romantic side, maybe instead of trying to teach him to do what you think is romantic, try to understand what he considers romantic. it may be drastically different but at least you might appreciate his effort if you understand it better.

Sign the both of you up for a couple's weekend convention and let the experts teach him how to be a romantic and good husband.

Hahahahaha you cant teach an old dog new tricks. If hes not a romantic,,most likey he NEVER will be. Theres not many of them type of men left in the world. Good luck with this one.

If it is not his nature and you married him you made a bed to lay in and now it is wrinkly.
Sounds like to me that you got a big mess on your hands because somewhere outthere ,is a Man that will give you what you want and treat you the greatest that is more than romantic. He will make you happier than ever. Your in the wrong relationship.

You can't really teach a old dog new tricks. I however just explain to the hubby what I find romantic. Granted he doesn't do it all the time but when he does it really means something. Just talk to him.

Positive reinforcement.
Make sure you notice when he tries, even if it's a miserable failure. If you keep expecting too much, he'll probably just stop trying.
I'd also recommend reading something like.. "The 5 Love Languages." Maybe he's trying to be romantic, but you just don't understand where he's coming from.

Nature has given human being with 17000 + character and to be romantic is one character of man. All the character does not work 24X7X365. Only few works always. To be romantic for man and his women is 50:50 job of the both. Please find out his problem without hurting him by listening to him. Then find out your -ve points and try changing it . please help him but he shouldn't no that. Try to be happy . Do not take the credit but give him.
