What is the best way to handle these quick-release situations? Should I say nothing and move on to pleasing my partner a different way? Make a joke? Say sorry?

well, I'd suggest not to move on to pleasing her a different way after you c um (if I got this right), do it before so after SHE comes you can still do it the usual way.. women can have multiple orgasms so that would be ok... you figure anyway
second, you may want to try to train yourself not to come so quickly.. when you feel you are coming just slow it down a bit, continue when you are feeling that you ain't about to come ..
Also, a circumcised guy can make it last longer as his penis is less sensitive (sorry, don't know why I'm writing this)
Finally, if she's your girlfriend I think you'll have no problems solving the situation, if you love each other you have to find the best way for both of you.
And a jOKe is always ok.. I don't think you should say sorry about this.. it's you, be proud of yourself

That is why we have fingers (and even a tongue).
Make a joke like that was just the warm-up. Let me take care of you and by then I should be ready for round 2 ... which will sure last longer. OK? This assumes you have fairly good recovery time.
Best thing in the future. Get rid of the pent up demand ... before hand. Ideally say 30 minutes before.

Acknowledge this to your partner because he/she might be embarassed to say something to you and not want to hurt your feelings. The two of you can work on making you slow down... It isn't something to necessarily be embarassed about, and you shouldn't say sorry, because you didn't do anything wrong. Just work on breathing and slowing your body down... this is something you can work on in your own time without someone else too.

do him once and then get him ready to go for second time most guys usually last alot longer the second time around. Also start out with you on top so you can control the pace and get yours. good luck

you just dont have to say a thing. spend most of your time on conversation( whispering sweet nothings), and foreplay such that by the time you start action she will be very ready and.......... she wont even know that you have finished quickly
