Get them out of Atlanta too, it has been over a year. They are longer "victims", but leeches.
Since when is it the governments job to rebuild, that is the responsibility of the residents, but those people have never worked a day in their lif and I wouldnt expect them to start. After the floods in the northeast there wasnt this problem, after the midwest fires there isnt this problem, after earthquakes in california there isnt this problem.....it just called laziness, nothing more nothing less

Though a lot of improvements have been made in the city--it's functional, at least--the surrounding areas are still a mess. You can drive through whole abandoned neighborhoods, largely in part because FEMA hasn't yet authorized people to enter for any reason other than to gut their homes and leave. Add that to the fact that, as was mentioned, insurance companies aren't paying up, plus...well, a lot of other crazy things that don't make much sense unless you've been there, like the developers buying out land to put in half-a-million dollar homes--hard for people without much to begin with to "return" to that. I wouldn't blame anyonechoosing not to go back.

I know if I lived in Houston I'd be wondering too. I know your crime rate has increased 27% this past year and I'm afraid they'll only leave when Texas cuts off the free ride.

when insurance company's pay up , when its all cleaned up , fema ?? are they done helping , lots of people are working towards getting home but I think there are obstacles preventing them from doing so
