A loud robust song will notify my wife that I am showering so she will refrain from turning on the dish washer, washing machine or flush the toilet in another bathroom. It is better to sing a loud song, even if off key, than hire a divorce lawyer or buy another house.

I sing when I'm having showers too. Once, I didn't sing, my dad ended up knocking on the bathroom door asking me if I was OK. About a week ago, I was singing while drying my hair, and the window was half open, a guy just happened to walk past my house and shouted SHUT UP! I was soooo embarrased.
ps. Titanic's the BEST song to sing while having showers. I sing it every time!

I'm female and I sing most of the time in the shower. I have never heard my husband sing in the shower. I just sing to pass the time or because
I have a song stuck in my head. Every now and then I will hear my daughter singing away.

1. It is relaxing, 2. Clears the throat 3. They think we can't hear them over the sound of the water. 4. It gets our attention and hope we will join. 5. It is a good way to relieve the stress of the day or gives them the stamina to carry on with their day at work. Actually as far as I can tell, it gives a person the chance to be themselves under a waterfall and forget the rest of this hard world around them It is also very good for the vocal cords and relaxes the back of the throat. Men are more apt not to sing in public.

Not all does that but most of the habit can be attributed to the mood of the person. No one sing if the water is too hot or too cold. He doesn't sing cleaning himself after an accident. Chances are, he does if preparing for a big date. It's all in the mood.

i think almost everyone has sung in the shower at some point in their lives.. Usually when someone is in a really good mood, or they are probably in a crap mood and want to get in a good mood they will sing!
also, the shower is a "private" place where men and women can "hide away" from the world and just let it all out...

we sing in the shower because the water hitting of the shower curtains stops us from hearing how bad we are at singing, I HAVE SEEN ME USING THE SHOWER GELL AS A MIKE ON A FEW OCCASIONS,I think i could be the new robbie williams, but i am scared of my own success,

Lots of women do it too.. i mean heck i sing in the shower in the car at work... i have loud speaker to save everyones ears cause i will be honest i cant sing for *#%$ LOL... but hey its fun!

Because like any orchestra, once the "conductors stick" begins to move it just makes you want to sing....even in the shower!
