So you get heated in the moment and your "safe barrier" fails...weather it being a condom breaking, forgeting to take you pill or unable to pull out in time. You dont want to risk that dreadfull unplanned and unwanted pregnancy and you certainly dont believe in abortions so you settle for the morning after pill... But how does one know if it really has worked? Youve taken it the very next day... Youve taken the correct dosages at the correct times but how are you sure it has worked? Please help in any way you can...!

Keeping your legs closed is not what I had in mind when I got married. We simply not ready for a child. How can I bring a child into this world now? With no proper financial haven...that is cruel...! And birth control could end up making me not fall pregnant at all when my husband and I are ready

1. Pulling out "in time" is a myth. Most pregnancies I know have happened with pulling out. Pregnancy can happen even before ejaculation, there is an amout of sperm that gets loose before. So if you don't want to get pregnant never even start sex without a condom.
2. To see if the pill has worked, take a blood pregnancy test. A blood test is accurate 24 hours after conception, contrary to the urine tests that need a couple of weeks.

Yes, you can go too Walgreens and get it from the pharmacy. I believe last time i heard it was $40. Just tell the pharmacist that you want too buy the morning after pill, and that's it. It doesn't have any bad side affects, depending on soon you take it, (hopefully within the 48 hr time limit) your period should show up within a matter of days too a week.

wow, pull out in time, is not an effective method! I suggest you go see the doctor. I think you might get heaving cramping, since it dissolves the endomyetrium and prevents the nestling of the blastula in the uterus. So it would be heaving cramping and discharge, that's my onw conclusions. Call the doctor just to geta straight answer. Or planned parenthood or something along the lines.

I cant believe that you would allow a bloody morning after pill affect your life this much.. if you don't want to have children right away then take the precautions a little more serious. there are easy ways of using birth control with out resorting to an abortion pill.

learn to be resposible. no use going on with the mumbo-jumbo about not wanting to abort and not having kids etc.... you should always be safe rather than sorry!
and learn to prptect yourself!
you'd have to wait and see.....the morning after pill is NO guarantee although its a last resort!!

If you don't end up pregnant, then it works. Only way to know. Research it and find out it's effectiveness.

Here's something I call "The Night Of" pill. Take an asprin, put it between your knees and don't let it drop to the floor. You have to squeeze your knees together pretty tightly but it can be done.

I agree with MINDRIZZLE- keep you legs CLOSED.
I cannot believe how many woman are just stupid when it comes to sex and contraception- or the lack thereof.
And the morning after pill is abortion.
What about diseases???
