Well first, you need to find out what is depressing you, and work through that.
Have you considered that you may be chemically imbalanced and that taking Drugs will only screw you up more?
Start working out. It is hard, but when you excersize your body releases endorphines that put you in a better mood.
Go see a doctor and get a physical and talk to them about your bouts with drepression. Get help. Get better and get back to being a happy productive member of society.
Life is short, don't spend your time being sad all the time.
GO HAVE SOME FUN!

Refuse to ponder on depressing situations and re-direct my thinking to positive and happy events. Open the blinds and get some sunshine. If you live in a cloudy and grey area, buy a sun light and sit under it each day as you read or watch TV. Get some physical activity. Only take drugs if you need them and take the required dosage. Make sure the drugs you are taking are not depressants, such as Valium, etc... If you absolutely cannot shake being depressed, see a doctor.

Read the Bible. Don't knock it 'til you've tried it. Read the book of John in the New Testament.
Also, get out and be friendly with people. You tend not to feel so down when you do things for or with other people.

Meditate. Go for a thirty minute walk. Sleep. Play with my kids. Surf online. Just get away from the situation that's bumming you out.

depression is when someone is un-happy. What I do personally is that, I listen to my best kind of music, relax on the bed and try to sing along with the music, later, meditate on God's promises before I know it, it is already another day.
