if you go to a fabric store or even walmart in the fabric department there are books for patterns - mccalls, butterick, symplicity and look through them for costumes i am more than sure they will have "jedi" robes. on the actual pattern envelope it will tell you exactly what type of material, how much and on the inside has instructions and a diagram to explain how to put it all together

This is a perfect time of year to find one ready made at a costume shop. Some people are really into Halloween and if you visit a higher end shop you can get one made of quality fabric.

A jedi robe want you hmmmm. I have some material, borrow it from me you can. I think it may be a little on the dark side though. I can deliver it in my Ford Galaxy, far far away.

I would suggest brushed cotton or just plain cotton, you don't want to be sweating to death inside all those layers (assuming you'll be doing the whole Jedi outfit).

who knows? maybe you can ask master YODA (watch star wars again and pause at luke skywalker, look at the clothing pattern, and show it to a local tailor, say "I want this robe in 3 days time!" collect it 3 days time lorh!

You can use any type of fabric as long as you have your design ready and set your mind to it.
