there is a japanese buffet resturant at Suntec City Mall level 3 call Kuishin Bo. It buffet serve at different food counters that they on the spot fry or cook for you.
there is this japanese resturant at liang court which provide ala carte buffet which is very nice but sorry i cant remember the name of it.

ala-cart buffet dinner at S$38 ++, includes sashimi but not beverages.
a bit on the high side but food is nice. do remember to try their famous salmon skin salad - yummy.
