Aim is intention to do a thing. Goal is set for achieving something; Ambition is a strong desire to achieve something.

Personally a goal is something that you are striving to achieve. Your aim is something that you are going to achieve no matter what,and your ambition is something that you look forward to achieving in your near future!

They are pretty interchangeable. I would say goal and aim are more specific, and ambition is more general. But really, you can use them pretty much as if they were equivalent.

goal is a set of objectives one wants to achieve.aim is the particular or immediate target on something.Ambition is the indepth urge on anything one has to actualise in a life time.These three is somehow interwoven but can be separated.

They can be synonymous, though there are minor differences in how they are used.

Aims tend to be specific and short term. "To get this job", "to win this game"

Goals tend to be less specific and longer term. "to get a promotion", "to pay off my bills"

Ambitions tend to be very lofty and more abstract. "To be a great dancer", "To be rich", "to be famous"
