It depends on the stuff in question why not do a car boot sale? I recently did one after a clear out and made £90 in about 2 hrs.........It's worth a go surely!

if you are giving them away there is always good will or salvation army, although ;most of your stuff will end up in the dumpster there if its just junk. You could post some stuff on freecycle on yahoo, or craigslist. Some churches take stuff.

Yes. It's called a local council rubbish tip. Let's face it, if a 2nd-hand shop won't take it, it can't be up to much, can it!!!

Try a pawn shop and tell them the things have sentimental value to you and that you WILL be back. Take the money and run!!!

depends if you want to get money for them. If not, if your aim is just to get shot of it, register the items on www.freecycle.org. It's for people to get rid of stuff (and obtain stuff) for free and has local sites all over the place.

that is because the have to a pay the council to remove their junk.
try www.freecycle.com it is a yahoo group i think . i have got rid of all sorts of odd things there. like broken garden seats to someone who loves refurbishing things .
