wouldn't it be nice, if instead we could have an influx of Polish Lawers, salesmen, administrators, accountants, managers driving down the cost of these jobs. After all most building workers deliver good value whereas so called Proffesional workers are lazy and expensive and their productivity is much lower.

In the United States it is Mexican laborers who drive down the price of building labour and Italian contractors.

I like your idea of employing them as bureaucrats and civil servants. How about politicians?

I never really considered that as an option I guess. I
just thought that the recently built houses and structures
were supposed to lean to the left that way. The idea that
they leaned because of poor quality workmanship... Well,
that idea just never crossed my mind.

This is most likely the kind of issue that Tony Blair should
bring before the people and seek a resolution for the
common good of all.

For example: Maybe you could institute a Non-National
Professional Excise Tax to levy a charge of about 10 Quid on all licenses, Permits and Contracts (regardless of nature) issued by Non-Nationals. Collect all the funds into a national treasury and disperse the balance yearly on a Pro-Rata basis to all nationals within your geographic boundary. Perhaps you could even authorize a
graduated scale for payment of those funds based
upon proven purity of the homeland blood lines of each recipient. Then at long last you might see some slight
improvement in that most detestable situation. Be sure
and let me know how it turns out.

Cheers,
Zah

You might be right. It is a question of supply and demand. Your question has many angles. I will answer the first option which is labor and the building trade in England --yes, that is true as long as Polish workers can come down to work and there are no restrictions to their entry into the specialized work force (no permits, no quotas, no apprenticeship paper required etc.) As for the other professions -- they are all needed at the right time and the right place.
