Absolutely. To the victors go the spoils. Let them hate.

Online relationships of any sort are online and therefore not actual relationships. I like a lot of people on here and enjoy conversing with them daily. However, I know that if I really and truly needed something none of these people would be there to help me because they don't know me and vice versa. So.. no lasting friendships are made. And people who come through and spoil the pool, so to speak, are probably just having a good time hiding behind the mask of their monitor and more power to them. Live and let live and all that BS.

I hope people make long lasting friendships, as I plan to move to the states in the next two years and I hope I still know the people I have befriended!!
People who spoil the camaraderie? I don't notice, I am too busy being silly...yip yip!!

Yes, I had the same best friend for 45 years and we still do everything together and talk on the phone daily. If you are true friend then nothing or nobody can spoil the camaraderie.
And I have made one person in a chatroom that I met 10 years ago and we still communicate daily and are friends.

I'm not sure about this site in particular, but I did once physically meet someone I had met online and they turned out to be a complete jerk. Seriously, everything they said online was total BS. I tend to pick my friends the old fashioned way, in a drinking contest.

Sometimes... Takes some weeding through though... Most people these days don't want to take the time to even really be friends with other people and then they wonder why they're lonely... Peace!

Sure. I've carried on conversations with a lot of people here. As for the haters, they aren't worth my time or ire.

I think people can become friends, but I'm not too sure about lasting friendships. Probably not.
