i think atlanta was probably distracted by all the hoopla. This led to their mistakes and turnovers. On the other hand, the Saints were inspired and extra motivated to win this game.
This type of play is not uncharacteristic for Atlanta. Think back each year that Vick has played QB. With his style of run and pass he can look awesome or look like a confused schitzo. Last night he was the latter.

It is too hard to win in the NFL to just give away a victory to New Orleans. Plus, why would Atlanta want to look so bad on national TV. This was merely a case of New Orleans playing emotionally inspired football and having enough talent to pull it out. Atlanta did make some mistakes but I do not believe they were intentional.

I can definately see how people are thinking that, it was like the NY Giants game after 9/11 which the giants ended up winning. But I have to say that the Falcons just didn't come to play Monday night. No professional sports team or athlete are going to lay down and let another team win, just so that their fans can feel a little better. I have to say win or lose that they N.O. fans were on cloud 9 regardless of the outcome of the game. It was a huge win for the area to reopen the stadium and so the country that they can rebuild and move on.

I think any notion of this is rediculous. An entire PROFESSIONAL sports team is not going to throw some game. Every game in the NFL season is important, and no team will throw it away (well, the Raiders do, but they don't intend to). Besides, as I said in another answer, they wouldn't do something this season. Any games that would have been "given" would have happened last year when they "really needed it". New Orleans was just pumped up, and played their butts off.
Besides, if it WAS fixed, it would not have been a 20 POINT VICTORY. You'd think they'd be a little more subtle if they were going to do it people.

definite, i visit assure you that the Falcons will opt to win this recreation. they have clinched a playoffs spot, yet they have not clinched the dept. they choose one better win to attempt this and what better effective thanks to attempt this than beating the protecting Superbowl champions two times in a unmarried season. the perfect project the Falcons choose is to no longer have abode field income throughout the time of the playoffs. they opt to stay contained in the Georgia Dome see you later as accessible. in the adventure that they win this recreation, then there very last recreation hostile to Carolina, they are going to astounding resting many of their gamers. it will be an basic win besides in the adventure that they do relax their gamers. i like the Falcons opportunities. they seem to be a reliable Dome team and they seem to be a reliable abode field team. They beat the Saints once this season even as they were on the line, now they have the followers on their side. i'm liking those odds, so go ahead and performance your guess because I predict the Falcons will win.

This is the NFL...not boxing. You aren't going to con a whole football team, who has a shot at a division lead, to allllll throw this game. One person would have at least said something or protested. To say they gave that game is an insult to the Falcons, not the Saints. The Falcons are too competitive to just lay down for another team...especially their arch-rivals.

Who knows and honestly who cares. The Saints could not have lost that game unless the dome fell again. The NFL, the Saints, the Falcons, the City, the freakin Nation wanted the Saints to win. It was good for everyone that they won, now they can lose one and noboby will riot in New Orleans (which they would have if the Saints lost)

I don't think so. Although the score was a bit disappointing, I think the game was fair and square. I'm an Atlantan, so I'm sad that the Falcon's are now 2-1, but I'm happy for the NO Saints - they played great and they deserve it.
Go Vick!!!

obviously you didnt see the game. atlanta was befuddled. they didnt expect to meet a decent team and when vick was sacked and fumbled on the 3rd play of the game he was in a daze the rest of the game
NFL football is big business.this game meant 3-0 and division leadership for one of these teams. Nobody would throw a game
I just read some of the comments to this question-you people must have your heads up your butts-one of you even blamed the President-jeez how stupid
