My son is 3 months old and his doctor has put him on Alimentum Advance formula. I was wanting to know what the difference is between Alimentum and Alimentum Advance baby formulas?

It has DHA and ARA in it...two proteins found in breast milk for proper eye and brain development. My daughter is also on Alimentum advance. It is a great formula for babies with colic, gassiness, acid reflux, and lactose intolerance. My little girl was very gassy and colicky and now is the happiest little one month old there ever was. There is one kind of Alimentum and it is advance.I went through this for months using my wic checks.It said Alimentum and i got the bottles that said advance & they had to check every time to make sure it was the only kind of Alimentum.

It is the same thing,the advanced has dha and ara but the diffrence you are seeing is the new cans

It has more iron in it ..It also has the Dha ans ara that is found in breast milk .hope this helps

Go to their website, they should have the differences there. But it should have more vitamens and minerals.
