I agree with your observations regarding improved water supplies, better food, the average Iraqi's acceptance and approval of our efforts to improve their daily life and the news medias lack of coverage in those areas. I spent 18 months there as a civilan in the Baghdad/Taji and Tikrit/Kirkuk areas.
I am curious how you were able to "visit" your friend in Iraqi....as in vacation? As an American you would need a reason to be there...a journalist yourself perhaps with credentials and approval to enter the country? I mean, with out a CAC card for civilian contractors, a media group or some official capacity I don't see how you were able to visit. And it's not like there are any Holiday Inn's in Iraq. And I have been to the Al-Rasheed in Baghdad....you just can't register and get a room.
But yes, what you say about the news media and the average Iraqi citizen tracks with my general experience in country.

Anything to bring doubt to the minds of Americans about their government. Anything at all.
I love how they ignore General alTikriti and his statements that Saddam had WMD up until 2 months before the invasion. He said they got assistance from Russia and France in getting them across the Syrian border.

Sorry dude. i might heavily only enable her bypass. It would not sound like she replaced lots over the final 20 years. She is a fool to try this to a individual who unquestionably cares yet you may head on. you have the whole existence only before you. don't get harm like this for a lost reason.

My suspicions are becoming true then, The media is the real enemy of freedom. We beleave what the papers and the news tell us but who is behind the stories.
Those dark forces are at work!

So 50 or more people dying every day is acceptable to you. Bombings, gun fights, assignations, all better then it was 5 years ago. I don't think so.
