I see quite a few people posting the same or similar questions over and over in various categories. Some are obviously spamming, but others aren't. I don't know what their rationale is. What are your thoughts on this?

I've started to do so... or checking right after answering.
I've also just started checking the questions of people who give really good answers to other people's questions. That's how I found this question, you'd answered my question and been very helpful so I got curious as to what kinds of questions you'd ask.

I check those that I believe to be being deliberatly controversial and are here just for attention, or, if someone seems to be feeling depressed, I check what other types of things they have asked.
If I think that someone needs to be reported, I check to see how many other questions they have posted that are of similar bad taste, and do what I need to do.
I think that some post their questions in multiple sections because they are unsure which is there best section, or they want the opinion of different groups of people, and if they are genuinely seeking advice, I see no problem with this.

Sometimes. If I see an outrageously racist or otherwise dysfunctional question I will go through that person's previous questions, and answers, and report as many questions, or answers, as I deem necessary, coming from that person, otherwise, no, I don't have time. Spam, I just give it a thumbs down.

sometimes i check after i answer a question if i liked the question to see if i will enjoy answering their other questions....sometimes i just like their pics and just wanna follow them around.
SOMETIMES when people post the same question in different categories they want an opinion from a different group of people...i don't believe it to always be spamming.

Yes there are some spammers,then there are only so many things to ask. Then we have poser but we found out who they are so these people should be gone.

It is kind of annoying especially about the making alot of money a month.

I think that most just don't realize that as they are composing their question there is a box under it displaying similiar questions.
