I had my tubes done in 2000 and, if you said tubes "done" I would venture to guess they were clipped and not tied. Several doctors since 2000 have been using clips (i.e. Filshie) because many women have been having their tubes "untied" and the doctors feel this is an alternative that can make reversal easier if requested down the road. Since you have a 5-year-old and the next age after that is 14, the doctor may have wanted to go this route instead of tying them completely.
With that said, it is possible for a clip to come off (although not very common) and thus making you pregnant or you could have an ectopic pregnancy. Anything is possible. You have had 3 children and you have "all the signs", and you know your body better than anyone, so I would suggest you take a home pregnancy test and go from there.
I will add that I too have 3 children and after 3 years of having my tubes done, I thought I was pregnant because I had "all the signs" and took a home pregnancy test. The test was negative and a few days later I got my period. It ended up just being hormonal, my doctor told me to put estrogen cream on my hands and feet a few days a week. Odd as it seemed at the time, it has worked and the hormonal systems have decreased substantially and I have not had any "pregnancy signs" since.
Good Luck!

very possible this is something your obgyn should have explained to you properly. after 3-5 yrs they can come untied and grow back leaving you vulnerable for another pregnancy but at high risk for a tubal pregnancy which is not good, if you are not and go to get re fixed make sure you want them cut-tied-and the ends burnt. this way when they or if they come un done again your chances of pregnacy are 1 in 980 and if you find the right doc, they will do a partial hysterectomy upon your request. which is still cut -tied-and burned make sure to tell them and also they take out your uterus so defintely nochance of pregnancy, make sure to tell them to leave only enough of your uterus to hold up yur bladder wall this way yu dont have to go back in 7-8 yrs and have your bladder stappled.

Well I have heard of women getting pregnant after getting their tubes tied. I would take a test first to make sure if you are or not. And then go to the doctor. Not trying to scare you, but if you're not pregnant there could be something else wrong.

If you have had your tubes tied it very possible that you could be pregnant in your tubes. If this is the case you need to contact your doctor as soon as possible. If you are pregnant in your tubes and your tube ruputures you could die from it. I just had a friend of mine that just went through that. She ended up in intesive care for a week because her tube ruputured. Hope this Helps.

Ok, I suggest you go see the doctor in case by some miracle you are. B/c if I am not mistaken you might have an ectopic pregnancy then which can be very painful. But just go to the doctor to get it checked out.

yes, it is possible that you could be pregnant. it is also possible that you could be having some hormone changes, too. You didn't state how old you were in your question, but peri-menopause can start in your early 30s. I would have my doctor check me out....i haven't found the pregnancy kits that you buy in the stores very accurate...have him/her do a blood test on you. and you need to do this soon....if you are pregnant, you could have an ectopic pregnancy (one in your fallopian tubes) and that can be very dangerous. Good Luck to you!!!

tubes that have been tied occasionally do "grow back" - its very rare but possible. it is also possible that you may be experiencing pre-menopause symptoms. ( not knowing age , history ect) instead of using an otc pregnancy test i would advise you to go to the dr to find out for sure what is going on. good luck :)

It is possible, though it is unlikely. I suggest you purchase a testing kit. If the results are positive, contact your health care provider. See the links below for additional information. I hope this goes well for you.
