The fish tank is about 10 or 20 gallons and I have a filter that is plenty big enough and holds two filter cartridges. I use the anti-cloudy drops and the anti algae drops but it always goes cloudy after a few days. Could it possibly be the fish food?

definitely overfeeding, fish do not eat very much at all and after it hits the bottom they dont want anything to do with it. Also try to put an algae eater or 2 in there. They help keep the glass from clouding due to their suction all over the glass.

First you should know if its 10 or 20 gallons. Stop using the anti clouding stuff, its no good. Start over. Refill the tank and let the water sit in it for 2 days with nothing running. Start the filter and slowly enter the fish. You can keep them on the side in the meantime . Dont put more then 6 fish in a 10 gallon, and that depends on their size. Do not overfeed, once a day is enough, and twice if the fish are very large. Read up on aquariums to better yourself.

Definitely over feeding. Fish eat an amazingly small amount of food. A rule of thumb is to only feed them what they can finish in 5 minutes. If there is any left then you have fed them too much. For my 20 gallon tank of gold fish, it turns out to be just a pinch of food a day. They remain healthy and the water is clear.

A newly filled /set up fish tank has to go through a cylcle of cloudiness before the tank is SET. It has somethibng to do with the fish slime coat or something. Anyway it will clear up in a few days if you just leave it alone.

is it sitting near a window getting alot of sun? that could be part of it. i have a little fish bowl and just use the drops for the water...are your anti cloudy drops the same as the ones that nuetralize the chlorine in your water? thats what i use drops that help with the chlorine content and my fish bowl stays clean for months...i usually have to add more water to it...crazy! good luck

I have heard that if you put too much food in the tank, it will turn cloudy.
