The vet and tech scrub just like a doctor does.
They wear gloves and the animal is preped by shaving the area and disinfecting the area.
Then they give the animal pre-anestesia meds to calm it and and then put it under and on the table. The tech handles the instruments and holds things and helps the vet. Hands him tools and such. When they are done animal goes back to kennel area to be watched while waking up from anestesia and they either do more surgery or other stuff.

Yes. They usually prepare the animal for the surgery and then assist the vet with the surgery, kind of like a nurse in the operating room.

A vetenarian surgeon prepares the same way as the surgeon's that operate on humans, the surgeon also has vetenarian sisters aiding him in the surgery, they also scrub wear theatre clothes, masks and gloves, they are as health concious as the hospitals and theatres are, because if they weren't there would be a lot of infections and deaths in the animals, and they definitely don't want that

no. You prepare the same way someone else would. When you get out of surgery they are not going to shove a steak in your face. You will have clear liquids. Then when you can have your reg. diet you order your food yourself.
