Do you agree with the statement that rape, etc. has nothing to do with sex and everything to do with violence?
Seems like a lot of people don't get it.

It's not even about violence, but about controlling a situation. Rape (not date rape) has nothing to do with the way the woman looks or dresses, though long hair can be a factor because it's easier to grab her.
Date rape, on the other hand, is a little of control and sex. He feels he has the right to that satisfaction because in his mind the woman wants it and was sending him signals.

No I don't agree. Rape can be both, sex and/or violence. Usually when a child has been raped, then it is a sick SEX crime by a perverted insane person. On the other hand, when an adult is raped, I feel it is more about control, along with sex and VIOLENCE!

I think it has nothing to do with sex. Sex can be gotten by anyone, anywhere, at any time. Rape is about control, violence, and power.

I totally agree and the 'proof' is in the evidence, since old, unattractive women get raped also.
