Go into any Hastings or large book store. They always have stamp catalogs in stock and you can check the value of the stamps there. The post office also publishes a catalog. However the resale value of the stamp is only about 35% of the current catalog value. The catalog value is normally the value of the stamp when sold by a retailer.

You're better off bringing them to a stamp shop to get them appraised. You really have to know what you are looking for on the stamp like watermarks, broken lines in the die, etc. This is too complicated to do over the web.

go to the library first and look them up in stamp collectors book. if they are worth anything, then take them to a dealer.
