Because I am at home as opposed to staying in Halls Of Residence, And I feel like I am missing out on everything. I have just moved in by myself and have not been living there for long, and if I did move I would not know what to do with all of my furniture I am seriously torn between staying at my flat or moving into Halls. I dont want to have regrets later on, I am really confused. What should I do?

The Halls of residence by the river are quite good.

They have some of the best showers I have ever tried. Plus they are near the 'Pav' which I had many a happy night at. Is it still there?

you just started college which is a huge life transition. Either way it will be hard at first but give it some time. most colleges and Universities encourage first year students to stay on campus for these reasons. It will be cheaper than the apartment, move into a dorm next semester, put your furniture in a storage facility for around $50 or so a month.

May will be here before you turn around and everything will be different. Then you can get your furniture out of storage..... (if your furniture is not antique or super nice sell it...more money for Freshman year)

Good Luck

I too am a student, of the mature variety though. Despite being at Uni for my fifth year in a row, I have never lived in Halls and have never missed it either. Perhaps you could advertise for a fellow student(s) to share your new place with you and broaden your circle of friends that way. Or join a group at Uni that interests you - environmental, sporting, music, religious, film making.... Or join the local Student Union. Or there is probably a volunteer post at your Uni where you can meet other like-minded people and feel good about yourself at the same time. Whatever you decide, I wish you well on your course. Once you get into the throes of it, you'll never look back.

Just give it a bit more time before you make a decision you haven't been there that long, and you would have plenty of privacy with a girlfriend.
