was just talking about this with my friend a couple days ago. it's dark-skinned light-skinned issue. if you really think about they both experience the same amount of prejudice. for example, light-skinned kids and dark-skinned kids are usually both not excepted to the black community because of their skin color and hair texture.

I'm sorry I just don't see what skin color has to do with anything , I not nieve I know that a lot of people make a big deal about this but come on WHO CARES , when it is all said and done if someone were to save you from a burning building would you look to see what color they were first !!!

Honestly, I feel that this started a long time before now. If you've ever read history books about slavery, the lighter skin African-Americans were placed in the house and the darker skin African-Americans were outside in the fields. It was ingrained in our heads for generation after generation. Even though slavery is over that still carries through to our families. Of course it shouldn't be a problem in 2006 it is. I don't like to see it as a fact of life but if something is going to be done about it we have to educate our selves on how the problem started and then educate others.

It really does boil down to the fact that blacks are more racist than they are always claiming that whites are. They are predjudiced even about light skinned blacks, as if they had anything to to with thier skin color. They act as if lighter skin means they are trying to be "white". Its ridiculous and just means they are judging by skin color. Hmmmmm
