a "freedom fighter" is a value judgment, usually for propaganda reasons... you should always question what freedom, who is fighting for it, and why...
terrorism is also being used nowadays in a very twisted ways.... those who defend themselves in different parts of the world against aggressors or occupiers are being labeled terrorists, just because it makes it much easier for those who label them to gain support and to win over.... however, real terrorism is an act conducted by countries or individuals when they terrorize innocent people for whatever agenda...

Yes, I can relate it well, people who we (Indians) consider as terrorists are freedom fighters for Pakistan and the act of such terrorisms are only considered as Violance by US and other Western countries. Lol this is just a statement that signify the double standards western countries have when it comes to acts of terrorism in Asian/Other countries. I hope I explained it well.

Someone who fights his oppressors is a freedom fighter for his people and sympathisers.
However he is a terrorist in the eyes of the oppressor and those who support that oppressive system.
