Good question!
Despondency, frustration and boredom. Not all children are fortunate enough to have healthy family upbringings that install confidence, optimism and respect.
Don't just blame the parents, that's just simple!
What can you do????
James.

Because their parents do not care what they do. Their parents just want the kids out of their face, and will let them go at any casue. We have a neighborhood full of punks and hoodlums. Most are from single parent families, and their moms are all doped up or cracked out. Their dads are no where to be found, so the kids run wild. What needs to happen, is them parents need to start bustin some butts. Put some rules into montion and maybe stay off the drugs!

Just as many adults vandalise property as teenagers and children, if not more. I've seen it myself on many, many ocassions.
I find it funny how adults always jump to place the blame on teenagers, instead of looking at themselves.
(PS- I AM an adult.)

When will people learn sweeping generalisations make them look stupid?
As a 15, nearly 16 year old, I resent that. The majority of us aren't chavs and thugs, but we all get tarred with the same brush these days.

I caught a couple of teenagers spraypainting a wall in my street. I grabbed one, the other ran away, I dragged him to his house, head butted his fat lazy unemployable slob of a father and told the pair of them if they ever set foot on my street again, I would break their legs.
Low and behold, since the wall has been cleaned there have been no similar incidents.
There is a lesson in there somewhere.

It's something that isn't done only by them. Have you ever noticed how many of the grown-ups do this, also? How can you explain it to a child that ask for an explanation to this?
My child asked me and I was never succeeded to find a good answer for him. Bad habits, lack of education, making them more "interesting", trying to draw attention? All of them?

Like dogs, they feel they have to leave their mark....unfortunately it's a destructive mark. They are professionally "bored" and for some reason destroying things is more interesting than cultivating a hobby or doing something creative.

Because their parents are often scumbags who drag them up giving them no idea of moral standards and right or wrong!

I blame the parents, if one of my children did this, they would be in so much trouble, some parents don't discipline their children,
