PayPal only charges you for when it is used. But the rate is HIGH. When you get a paypal account, check for their e-commerce tools. It is very easy to generate products and PASTE this code into your website.

This is an OK way to start, but once your sales volume has increased, you will want to start taking regular credit cards.

Setting up a PayPal account doesn't cost you anything.

The account itself can be done on the PayPal website and then the instructions for integrating it into your own website are all there - if you're comfortable doing it yourself, go for it!

If not, there are loads of designers/developers who could do this for you. It's really quite easy!

Setting up an account on PayPal is free. But when you use their services that's the time that they will charge you. Usually they take 10% from the total amount of each transaction you have with your client when you use their services.

PayPal is affordable for businesses of all sizes.

Fees are typically applied only when you receive a payment.

No setup fees

No gateway fees

Free eBay and web payment tools

Antifraud systems at no extra cost

It costs absolutely nothing to have paypal set up on your website.
But really do think about it as their charges for receiving payments are ridiculous.
You would be far better off setting up a secure page for customers to enter their cc details, which you can then log into using a password and manually enter the details into your PDQ.

Paypay take a percentage from this that you sell..i sold a book on ebay for £80.00 and they took about 80 pence doesn't sound much but it adds up...I suggest that you 'shop around' first there are many others online banks that will not charge as much good luck and be careful
