Yep.. I am guilty too.. burn me to the cross...

This is the exact argument that I have been countering for months. Bush and his cronies have literally been attacking the constitution but yet have the audacity to say that I am un-American because I am a liberal.

I am a liberal because I believe in the constitution completely. I don't pick pieces I like and gripe on decisions I don't. I am behind it 110%.

Supreme Court said a woman had a right to choose an abortion or not based on her 1st Amendment right to privacy over what happens to her body.

Supreme Court said you can not allow prayer in public schools for one specific religion based on the 4th Amendment.

You see... I am behind the constitution therefore I am an AMERICAN! I don't pick and choose what part of my country I will follow.

BTW, I am also a Gulf War vet.

So back to your question, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for ALL. If that belief declares me a liberal, then yes I proudly stand as an American Liberal.

In itself, believing in life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness does not make someone a wacko liberal. They are great ideals in a world where things are often less than ideal. However, you have to make sure that you are not just doing crazy things because you can. You have to keep in mind how your actions impact others, and make decisions accordingly. With freedom comes responsibility, and if you can't handle the responsibility of your actions, than maybe the freedom to choose those actions isn't the best thing for you.

If standing up for my Constitution AND my Bible makes me a wacko liberal, then I thank God for making me as such.

This can apply to Republicans as well. Now everyone who believes in the Constitution are not conservatives. Most of the Bush camp have problems with civil rights, the 1st, 5th and 6th admendments .
